Below is a breakdown of everything you need to track and enter statistics into the PrestoSports NJCAA Stats System – including NEW features and information.

We strongly recommend saving this email, however, you can always access it using the Email Archive under the “Other Resources” on the MVP site. This information will also be available under the “Sports Information” dropdown as well.

Please thoroughly review the information below and if you have any questions, please refer to the Support/ Help section at the bottom of this email.

Enter Rosters and Schedules prior to FIRST GAME/COMPETITION (All Sports)
Rosters and schedules must be entered into the PrestoSports NJCAA Stats System prior to your first game. Failing to do so will create issues with the attribution of stats.

NEW – Statistical Reporting Bylaw (Football, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse)
The NJCAA Board of Directors has adopted a new statistical reporting bylaw for the NJCAA Constitution. Statistics for all sports which participate in athletic events (head-to-head), must submit complete and accurate statistics in the PrestoSports NJCAA Stats System each Monday by 4:00 p.m. EST. If Monday is a federal holiday, the deadline is extended to Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. EST. For more information, please see Article I, Section 3.D on page 39 of the 2017-18 NJCAA Handbook.

NEW – Import Returning Players (Football, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse)
Presto has a new feature that now allows you to directly import players from last year’s stats roster into this season. CLICK HERE for instructions.

NEW – Setup Career Stats (Football, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse)
Presto now has the ability to track a player’s career stats. CLICK HERE for instructions.

Statistics may be submitting in one of three methods:
Live Scoring (AVAILABLE FOR ALL NJCAA MEMBERS)
- Manually through the Scoresheet Entry application
XML Box Score upload

Double-Check the NJCAA Website Instructions
To verify that you are in compliance with the national stat-entry requirement, please go to your team’s stats page on the NJCAA website (njcaa.org) and follow the steps below:

1. On the TEAM PROFILE tab, verify W-L record is accurate
2. On the STATS tab, verify players have stats for every game they participated in
3. On the GAME LOG tab, verify team stats have been entered for every game

Non-Region Stat-Entry Procedure
In order to avoid the overwriting of submitted statistics, all stats for non-region contests must be entered manually using the Scoresheet Entry application – UNLESS there is a signed agreement from both teams designating one college responsible for submitting a complete box score using either live scoring or the XML upload feature.

Never Delete Previously Entered Stats
It would be an extremely rare case that an opposing team manually enters your stats for your team. Therefore, if you see that stats have already been entered for your team, do not try to enter or change anything. If you have an issue with the stats that have been entered, please follow the protocol below:

1. Contact the athletic director at the opposing college.
2. Have them fix the XML and re-upload it into the system.
3. If an agreement can’t be reached, contact your region director/conference commissioner

Other Important Notes

Mark Your Participating Players
Please make sure that the first thing you do when the Scoresheet Entry application opens is mark your participating players. Failure to do so will not link the stats from the box score to your roster, placing the team out-of-compliance with the national stat-entry requirement.

Never Delete a Game After it has Been Played
Any stats that are entered for a game can be deleted, reset or uploaded again, so there is never a situation that warrants deleting a game after it has been played. If you run into a problem, you should either contact our office or Presto support.

Only One Scoresheet User at a Time
When using the Scoresheet Entry application, only one user can enter statistics at a time. It is equivalent of two users having the same document open at once – the last person to save will overwrite any changes made by the first to save. Please be aware of the prompts notifying you another user is in the system and try to coordinate with your opponents as much as possible.

The Same Numerical Roster Must be Used the Entire Season
Anytime a player changes numbers during the season, the player’s stats must be linked to the number that is entered into the PrestoSports stats roster. Failure to do so will result in stats being attributed to incorrect players. The NJCAA strongly suggests avoiding this issue by not changing player numbers during the season.

Properly Designate your Region/Conference & Exhibition Games
Make sure to check the appropriate boxes on the Event Creation Page when scheduling your games. Failure to do so will result in your team page displaying an inaccurate overall and/or conference record and games on the schedule being improperly designated.
