Anoka Softball Takes On NCAA Programs to Prepare for '17 Campaign

Rochester, MN-  In an effort to work off some winter rust, the Anoka Ramsey softball team took on the challenge of a couple of NCAA 4-year programs in two early season contests.  Playing at the West St. Paul Dome, the Rams fell to Bemidji State 8-0 and also were shutout against Moorhead State, 18-0.   Both games were played on February 27th.

The NSIC schools both parlayed 3-run first innings into victories on the afternoon.  For Anoka, Bailey Cole and Lindsay Swanson tagged Moorhead State pitching for a pair of hits, and Alexus Martin-Warren and Swanson collected hits against Bemidji.

After two more contests in the Dome on February 28th, Anoka will then head outdoors, traveling to Florida where they will open up the spring break portion of their schedule with games against Itasca and Sauk Valley (IL) in Titusville, Florida.
