Itasca Baseball wins big in MCAC match up

Itasca Community College and Anoka-Ramsey Community College squared off on the diamond on March 8th, taking advantage of the favorable climite of Tucson, Arizona to get in an early-season MCAC contest. 

ICC leveraged solid pitching and a 5-run bottom of the 6th inning to post a 13-1 victory on the day.  Tanner Shepard led the Vikings at the plate, going 3-of-4 and raising his season batting average to .455.   On the mound, Tyler Peterson and Austin Mesenbrink combined for a 4-hit outing, with Peterson going the first 6 innings and Mesenbrink coming on in relief to shut the door on the Rams.
