Mesabi Range Softball Looks to Even Record

Rochester, Mn-

The Mesabi Range softball team takes to the diamond today looking to climb back into .500 territory, when they take on Niagra County Community College this evening at 7pm.   With Minnesota temps in the teens, a night-time first pitch seems a pleasant option, with the Norse looking to get back to their winning ways that started their trip, collecting 11-0 and 21-1 wins over MCAC member Northland Community & Technical College.  Three successive losses to Mercyhurst Northeast, Mott Community College and Cuyahoga CC followed the opening ledger success.

Joely Roberts and Autumn Seabrook have shared the duties on the mound, with Roberts starting 4 times for Mesabi and Seabrook tallying two appearances.  At the plate, Roberts is hitting the ball at a torrid pace, where she is tied with Alexis Boissy, with both sporting a .538 batting average on the young season.

After wrapping up their spring trip against NCCC today, Mesabi will be off until March 24th, when they will square off against Minnesota State-Fergus Falls at the MCAC Crossover Event in Rochester, Mn.  That game is scheduled for a 5pm start.
