Central Lakes College softball athlete,  Kaye Smude, has earned the NJCAA Division III National Player of the Week honor for Week 8 (March 13-21) of the 2017 season.   Smude is a freshman catcher/outfielder from Brainerd. 

On the Raiders spring trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Smude found the warmer temps just what she needed for a strong week.  She hit .360 for Central Lakes, including 4 RBI's and 2 triples. Defensively, Smude was even better, turning in a .893 fielding percentage tallying 18 put-outs on 28 chances. 

Smude and the rest of the CLC Raiders are in action at the MCAC Crossover games in Rochester, held in the UCR dome on the campus of Rochester Community & Technical College.
