Rochester, Mn:
To say Mesabi Range infielder, John Moringlane had a good week would be a bit of an understatement; the sophomore racked up six doubles while hitting for a .583 average and driving in 6 runs for his Mesabi Range College Norsemen squad.
In adding to his good week, Moringlane was announced as the NJCAA Division III Player-of-the-Week by the National Junior College Athletic Association on Tuesday evening, for the week of March 27 - April 2.
The hot-hitting first baseman and his Mesabi Range teammates have played .500 ball over the past two weeks, going 5-5 overall and picking up their first MCAC North Division win with their 8-1 victory over Vermilion Community College on April 2nd. Mesabi Range will be back in action this weekend when they travel to St. Cloud Technical & Community College for the John Haller Invitational.
