Knoll takes the reins at Western Tech

Rochester, Mn-

Josh Knoll has been named as the new baseball coach at MCAC member school Western Technical College in La Crosse, Wisconsin.  Knoll replaces Rich Roiz in the Cavalier dugout as Western Tech heads into the summer recruiting season.  Current players and staff are familiar with Knoll, as he served as an assistant coach for the past two years.   As an alum of WTC, Coach Knoll brings a unique perspective into building the Cavalier program in the highly competitive MCAC Southern Division.

Knoll, a Sparta, WI native,  graduated from Sparta High School in 2009. After attending Viterbo University for one year, he transferred to Western Technical College where he competed for two season as a Cavalier.  Knoll parlayed his success at Western Tech into a four-year college opportunity at York College in Nebraska.   There,  Knoll was a part of the first York baseball squad in school history to qualify for and participate in the NAIA World Series.

Coach Knoll graduated from York College in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management. Kroll can be reached at: knollj@westerntc.edu  For more information on athletics at Western Tech, please visit- https://www.westerntc.edu/athletics
