Brandinc Partners with MCAC for Logo Update

Rochester, MN-

With the arrival of 2018, the Minnesota College Athletic Conference has joined forces with Brandinc to update the familiar MCAC logo which has been a part of the Minnesota small college sports scene for fifty years.  And, the MCAC would like to ask fans, families and followers of the Conference for their input on the next MCAC logo.

The MCAC is proud to partner with Brandinc in the re-design process for the mark which represents one of the largest  NJCAA athletics conferences in the country.

Brandinc assisted the Conference office with a comprehensive brand identity process,  including the important aspect of recognizing member colleges which are outside of the Minnesota State College & University system.  Western Technical College, Dakota College-Bottineau and North Dakota State College of Science are all valued MCAC members and adhere to the same strong standards as is found within the Minnesota State system college schools.  MCAC Executive Director, Peter Watkins notes: "As the Minnesota College Athletic Conference considers expansion in both it's sport offerings and in our member colleges, it is important to have a logo which is more representative of all our member schools."

According to Tad Webster, President/COO of Brandinc:  "We are excited to partner with the MCAC on their logo refresh and additional merchandizing opportunities.  Since opening our Rochester office last fall, we have focused on expanding our client partnerships and community involvement, and this academic initiative with MCAC is an important part of our strategic growth."

Three refreshed MCAC logo options (listed below) are candidates to be tabbed as the new Conference mark. The MCAC General Assembly and Executive Committee have met over recent months to go through various designs presented and have narrowed the orginal list of several designs to the three current options.

Usage of the new Conference mark will include the league website and digital media platforms and awards.  Implementation will occur after the conclusion of the 2017-18 academic year on June 30, 2018.
