Basketball Playoffs in Men's and Women's Hoops Continue Today

A full day of hoops on the hardwood awaits fans, families and followers of basketball in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference. 

In women's basketball, the NJCAA Region XIIIA and Region XIIIB tournaments commence today, with the semi-final rounds at Minnesota West in Worthington and at Northland CTC in Thief River Falls both scheduled at 2pm/4pm. 

The MCAC State / NJCAA Region XIII Men's Basketball Tournament heads into it's second day of competition, as the field has been pared down to four remaining squads. 

In Worthington, women's basketball fans will watch top seed Minnesota West take on 4th seed Ridgewater College at 2pm.  At 4pm, RCTC (2) and Anoka-Ramsey (3) will square off for the right to advance.  Today's semi-final winners will play tomorrow at 2pm in Worthington for the Region XIIIA championship and trip to the 2018 NJCAA Division III National Championships.

At the Region XIIIB tournament in Thief River Falls, tune into to http://www.nctctv.com to watch the action.  Northland CTC will take on Central Lakes College at 2pm, followed by Rainy River  and Hibbing at 4pm.  The semi-final winners will advance to the Region XIIIB Championship game tomorrow at 2pm.

In Coon Rapids, the Anoka-Ramsey campus will host the men's semi-finals this afternoon.  Three of the four quarterfinal round games were decided in the last two minutes of action and today's semi-finals offer some great match-ups.  Minnesota West CTC will take on Rochester CTC at 1pm followed by Anoka-Ramsey hosting Vermilion Community College at 3pm.
