Fall NJCAA Polls Feature MCAC Squads

Fall sports programs in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference are well-represented in NJCAA national pre-season rankings. 

With the start dates of volleyball, football, soccer and clay target seasons right around the corner, several colleges around the MCAC have been tabbed as teams to watch by various NJCAA committees. 

In volleyball, Central Lakes College, St. Cloud Technical & Community College, Ridgewater College and M State-Fergus Falls are all found in the national top 10 for the poll released recently. Click here for full details. 

The first regular season poll will be released by the NJCAA rankings committee on September 5.  New this year, the NJCAA provides fans, followers and families of NJCAA a dedicated Twitter feed to stay on top of the action.  To join, go to: https://twitter.com/njcaavolleyball

On the gridiron, the MCAC is represented by Central Lakes College, who is found in the 'Receiving Votes' Category of the NJCAA top 20 football poll.   CLC was also tabbed as the favorite in this season's Eastern Division race, narrowly selected as the likely top Divisional finish, over Mesabi Range College and Rochester Community & Technical College.  In the Western Division, conference coaches slotted Northland CTC as the team with the best chance at the Western Divisional championship, with Dakota College-Bottineau a close second.  To read more about the MCAC Football Coaches poll and previews, go to: http://www.mcacsports.org/sports/fball/index
