NDSCS, Central Lakes Highlight National Polls

Rochester, MN-

The NDSCS Wildcat football team climbed one spot to No. 15 in the most recent NJCAA Top 20 Football rankings, while Central Lakes College maintained it's firm grip on the No. 1 spot in NJCAA Division III Volleyball, as noted in the most recent fall sport poll releases.

Eric Issendorf's gridiron squad at North Dakota State College of Science (6-0 Overall / 4-0 MCAC West) is one of only five NJCAA programs still without a loss on the year.  This week, NDSCS will face one of it's biggest challenges of the season when they take on Northland Community & Technical College, the 2017 MCAC State Champion.  The Pioneers are currently 4-1 overall and 3-0 in the Western Division.   The NJCAA poll also features Mesabi Range College (5-1 Overall / 3-1 MCAC East); the Norsemen are in the 'Receivng Votes' category this week.  For the full NJCAA football poll, go to: http://www.njcaa.org/sports/fball/polls

Jane Peterson and her Central Lakes College volleyball squad continue to roll at 19-1 overall.  Time is running out for any MCAC squad to put a dent in the Raiders un-beaten Conference mark; only four matches remain in the MCAC schedule before the NJCAA Region post-season begins.  In addition to CLC's top rank, No. 7 Rochester CTC (14-8) and No. 8  M State-Fergus Falls (13-6 overall) are also featured in the the top-10 this week and look to be hitting their stride as volleyball moves towards the post-season.
