MCAC Clay Target Regular Season Concludes; Championships Tomorrow

The regular season for the first varsity season of Clay Target in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference concluded over the weekend, setting the stage for the MCAC Fall Championships in Grand Rapids, on Tuesday, October 16.  The 2018 fall season - a partnership between USA Clay Target and the MCAC - attached nine two-year college teams with over 150 student-athletes participating.  

In the MCAC Eastern Division, Lake Superior College finished in the top spot of the regular season, with a five week tally of 2954 total points.  The second place was earned by Southwest Wisconsin Technical College at 2809, with Vermilion Community College clocking in at 2252.  Hibbing Community College (1378) and Itasca Community College (1340) rounding out the West. 

The MCAC Western Division was won by Pine Technical & Community College at 395, with Lake Region State College close behind in the runner-up position at 248.  Minnesota West CTC and Northland CTC complete the Western Division at 239 and 170, respectively. 

Conferences are determined by team sizes. The True Team # assigned to each division are the number of athlete's scores used for each team to determine True Team® scoring points earned each week.

On Tuesday, October 16, teams from around the MCAC will converge on Grand Rapids, Minnesota for the 2018 Clay Target Championship.  Both Divisions will meet at the Grand Rapids Gun Club to compete for the Fall Championship, the final in-person event of the season.
