U.S. Marine Corps Team-of-the-Week Honors for Spartans, Cyclones

Rochester, MN-

The final U.S. Marine Corps Team-of-the-Week honor in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference of 2018 highlights two programs which are excelling on the court and giving back to their communities. 

The St. Cloud Technical & Community College men's basketball team is found in the current NJCAA National Top Ten poll and are active off the court.  Earlier this year, the SCTCC team and head coach Andrew Cone to time to assist with packing of meals for the SCTCC Campus Coalition, for the benefit of the SCTCC campus community and students.  

The Cyclones sit as the lone unbeaten MCAC men's program at 9-0 and are off until after the New Year.   For the current NJCAA Men's Basketball poll, click here.

M State-Fergus Falls volleyball head coach Abby Crowser guided her team to several weeks worth of NJCAA Division III Volleyball Top Ten rankings and the Region XIIIA post-season tournament.  Recently, the Spartans took time of their semester to assist with Salvation Army Bell Ringing stations in the Fergus Falls area.

The Spartans finished the 2018 MCAC Volleyball season with a 19-8 overall record and 8-4 mark in the Southern Division.  Coach Crowser's squad defeated Ridgewater to advance to the Region XIIIA championship final.
