Winona, MN-

Almost 300 student-athletes in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference Clay Target League kicked off their 2019 campaign as they took to their local range to start the season. The MCAC Clay Target competition is an initiative made possible through collaboration with the USA Clay Target League, the leading independent provider of clay target shooting sports for secondary and postsecondary schools.

The 12 teams across the MCAC completed their 'Reserve Week' scoring recently; the 'Reserve Week' scores are uploaded and recorded through USA Clay Target True Team scoring to provide a back-up score in the event that a student-athlete or team is unable to complete their weekly match-up later in the regular season.  The 'Reserve Week' scores also offer coaches and participants a first-look at how the top teams and individuals may stack up over the season.

Teams will continue to compete weekly, as they march toward the 2019 MCAC Clay Target Fall Championship, held in Grand Rapids, Minnesota on Tuesday, October 15.
