Football Post-Season Opportunities Presented in Divisional Games on Saturday

Winona, MN-

Eight football teams in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference will take the field Saturday, September 27 with post-season participation on the mind of each head coach.

All four match-ups in the MCAC on Saturday are Divisional contests, placing a premium on the outcome as teams look to be one of eight programs which advance to the MCAC playoffs later this season.

Western Division contests include Minnesota West traveling to Northland Community & Technical College for a noon kickoff in Thief River falls and the NDSCS Wildcats making the short trip to Fergus Falls to take on M State.  Dakota-Bottineau is idle this week.

In the East, Mesabi Range College enjoys the top position with three Divisional wins a part of the their 5-0 overall record. The Norsemen have a bye this week, as does Rochester Community & Technical College.  Vermilion Community College will be looking to upset Itasca Community College on the road in Grand Rapids, while Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College will hope to spoil the Homecoming of Central Lakes College.
