Later this week, fans, families and followers of the Minnesota College Athletic Conference can tune in to the NJCAA Division III Men's and Women's Basketball Selection Shows, which will be streamed live via multiple platforms.
The NJCAA Division III Men's and Women's Basketball Selection Shows will take place on Thursday, March 5th. The women's show will air at 1:00 PM ET and the men's will air at 2:00 PM ET.
This year's selection shows will be available on NJCAA Championship TV, Facebook Live, and Twitter. The live shows, hosted by Phillip Constantino, Director of Broadcasting and Multimedia at Queens University (NC) will feature bracket reveals, on-air analysis, highlights, exclusive interviews, and in-depth information about each tournament.
The 2019-20 NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship features eight automatic district qualifiers; Northland Community & Technical College and Western Technical College will represent NJCAA Region XIII and the Minnesota College Athletic Conference in the three-day event, held at Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois on March 12-14.
The 2019-20 NJCAA Men's Basketball Division III National Championship features 12 teams - eight automatic district qualifiers and four additional at-large selections which will be announced during the selection show. This year marks the first season with a 12-team format, as well as the inaugural 'At-Large' opportunity for teams which do not win their District tournament.
Rochester Community & Technical College earned the 2019-20 NJCAA North Plains District Tournament Championship, and with it, the chance to compete on their home court for a NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball National Championship; RCTC and Rochester Sports serve as host of the tournament this year, held on March 11-14.
With multiple nationally ranked men's programs from across the Minnesota College Athletic Conference in 2019-20, many MCAC eyes will be on NJCAA Selection shows and the 'At Large' bid announcements.
