The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its weekly volleyball awards for the week of August 23-29. These awards are sponsored by the Marines.  

Haley Schleper from Central Lakes College earns this week's Offensive Player-of-the-Week honor as she led her Raiders team to four wins this week while compiling 53 kills and 36 digs.

St. Cloud Technical and Community College's Allison Fritz takes home the Defensive Player-of-the-Week award after breaking the SCTCC digs per match record that was set in 2016 and helping her team earn their first victory of the season.

Central Lakes College sophomore MH/RS Haley Schleper (St. Joseph, MN) put together an outstanding weekend and helped her Raider team to four victories last weekend at the MCAC Volleyball Crossover.  In 13 sets, Schleper compliled 53 kills on 120 swings with only 12 errors, good enough for a .342 hitting percentage.  She also had 3 blocks, 7 ace serves, and 36 digs to earn the MCAC Offensive Player-of-the-Week honor.  Central Lakes is now 4-4 on the season, and returns to play on Wednesday at Itasca Community College.

The MCAC Defensive Player-of-the-Week honor goes to St. Cloud Technical and Community College freshman libero Allison Fritz. In her first two matches of the season, Fritz had 48 digs in 8 sets and aced her opponents four times.  She also broke the SCTCC digs per match record, set in 2016, by two digs. Fritz and her Cyclones will return to action on Wednesday against Century College.  The Cyclones are currently 1-1 on the season.
