The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its weekly football athletes of the week awards for the week of August 28 - September 3.
Minnesota State Community and Technical College quarterback, KJ Cooper, earned one of the Offensive Player-of-the-Week awards after completing 25 of his 37 passing attempts for 403 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Spartans 38-22 win over Central Lakes College. North Dakota State College of Science wide receiver, Trevion Carothers, had three receptions for 133 yards and a touchdown to earn the other Offensive Player-of-the-Week award.
Keondre Hodges, Minnesota State Community and Technical College defensive lineman, had 11 tackles, three sacks, and 5.5 tackles for a loss to earn a Defensive Player-of-the-Week award. The other Defensive Player-of-the-Week honor goes to Ashton Hanan, Central Lakes College linebacker. Hanan also had 11 tackles, with two of them for a loss, and he recovered a fumble.
There were no nominations for the Special Teams Player-of-the-Week award.
