The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its weekly soccer awards for the week of September 30 - October 6.
Rochester Community and Technical College goalkeeper Chloe Mart earned this week's MCAC Women's Soccer Goalkeeper-of-the-Week award after saving 10 of the 11 shots she faced. Mart gave up only one goal in 180 minutes of action and earned another shutout during the week against Alexandria Technical and Community College. Defender Izabella Nanoski led the Rochester Community and Technical College's defense to a shutout win over conference rival Alexandria Technical and Community College and a tie against Dakota County Technical College. Nanoski was awarded the Defensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week honor. Rochester Community and Technical College midfielder Lilly Farrand earned the week's Offensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week award after scoring two goals and assisting on a third in the Yellowjackets two wins this week. Farrand took 13 shots, with nine of them on goal.
Riverland Community College goalkeeper Camden Williams earned the MCAC Men's Soccer Goalkeeper-of-the-Week honor after saving 12 shots and only giving up one goal in 165 minutes of action in the net. Williams picked up a shutout win against Anoka-Ramsey Community College. Riverland Community College defender Abdoul Mohamman earned the Defensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week award after leading a defensive charge for the Blue Devils in a key conference win and in a non-conference game with Viterbo JV. Mohamman played 180 minutes, and while in the game, his opponents scored only one goal. Poe Reh, forward for Riverland Community College, earned the Offensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week award. Reh scored one goal and had one assist in his two games this week. He took four total shots, with two of them on goal.
