Cyclones, Wood Ducks Return to Action Today

St. Cloud, MN-

Looking to pick up where they left off, Century College (35-9 overall) and St. Cloud Technical & Community College (35-6 overall) return to the diamond today, Monday, May 20, to conclude the 2019 NJCAA Region XIII Baseball Championships at the Municipal Athletic Complex (MAC) in St. Cloud.

The top two seeds in the tournament were scheduled to play Saturday in the championship round, but were forced to postpone due to field conditions and severe weather in central Minnesota. The Cyclones will need two wins today to claim the championship and return to Greeneville, Tennessee for the 2019 NJCAA Division III Baseball World Series.  Century College will earn the title, and the trip, with one win today.

Century has posted successive post-season wins over Itasca (12-1), Riverland (12-2) and M State-Fergus Falls to reach the championship round.  SCTCC dropped their opening game to RCTC 5-4, but rebounded to defeat Hibbing Community College (11-4), Riverland (6-0), Rochester (10-1) and M State-Fergus Falls (4-1)

Game one is currently scheduled for a noon first pitch; game two - if necessary - will commence at approximately 4pm.
