Jaylen Wilson, a freshman running back from Detroit, Michigan, has earned the MCAC Western Division Player-of-the-Week award on offense for his performance in the DCB 39-7 victory over Minnesota West CTC on Saturday. 

Wilson rushed 20 times for 131 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also caught a pair of passes for 29 yards in leading the Dakota College-Bottineau 'Jacks to their best offensive output of the year. 

Dakota College-Bottineau will host NDSCS for a North Dakota showdown and key Western Division game on Saturday, October 6. Game time is set for 2pm in Bottineau.

Juan Moore, a sophomore defensive back from Dothan, Alabama, has been tabbed as the MCAC Western Division Player-of-the-Week on defense for his performance as a member of the Minnesota West CTC BlueJays. 

Moore ended the contest against Dakota College-Bottineau with 11 total tackles which included six solo stops, a sack and a forced fumble on the day.  MnWest fell to the 'Jacks, 39-7

Minnesota West CTC will travel to Northland Community & Technical College on Saturday, October 6 for a noon game in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.

North Dakota State College of Science return specialist Grant Brown accounted for 124 of the Wildcat 170 return yards in Saturday's 30-6 victory over M State-Fergus Falls.  

The sophomore wide receiver from Milwaukee, Wisconsin also scored a 40-yard touchdown on a reception in the 2nd quarter. His longest return effort of the day was a 51 yard kickoff return, helping the NDSCS team remain undefeated at 5-0 on the year and atop the Western Division standings at a 3-0 mark.   

NDSCS will travel to Dakota College-Bottineau for a North Dakota showdown on Saturday, October 6. Game time is set for 2pm.                         

At 5-0, the Wildcats are one of six teams without a loss so far in the 2018 season.  

Notable Performances in the Western Division:

MnWest wideout Tyler Linder had three catches for 41 yards, while Montrez Hearon averaged 6.4 yards a carry on his way to 64 total yards rushing.  Hearon also had 115 yards on four kickoff returns, including a longest run of 54 yards. Punter Trevon Wilkenson had nine kicks totaling 313 yards, including dropping two inside the 20.  Beau Priegnitz was credited with 18 total tackles, three solo stops with 15 assisted tackles. Cornell Washington added 6 solo tackles among his eight stops on the day for the BlueJays.

Defensively for M State-Fergus Falls, Ja'leel Williams had an impressive 11 solo tackles with two assists to collect 13 total stops.  Teammate Lewis Jackson had 11 tackles, including a quarterback sack and 3.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage for the Spartans.  Ce'zaun Enge had an interception for M State, while punter Robert Schultz hit seven punts, with a 44-yard longest effort. On offense, Winston Sweeting was 14-of-31 passing for 111 yards and a touchdown.  Lucas Maloney was his favorite target with five catches total. 

QB Jackson Argoe passed for 200 yards in a 12-of-27 performance, including a touchdown strike against MnWest.  Jalin Tolbert had 62 yards receiving and Jaquon Long added 60.  Alex Knoebel had a good day kicking the football, going 4-for-5 on PAT's and connecting on a 31 yard field goal.  He also hit seven kickoffs for over 400 yards (409 total).  Malik McKane had an interception for the 'Jacks and Justin Michel was credited with seven assists. Jalin Harris had six solo tackles among his seven stops, including to quarterback sacks. 

NDSCS running backs Dontay Watson and Jay-Len Brown combined for 144 yards of rushing offense, while Devan Green Jr. added a touchdown to the Wildcat effort.  Placekicker Spencer Skeesick had a field goal and connected on three of his four extra-point attempts; he also hit five kickoffs for a 58.0 yard average.  Caleb Kennedy had four tackles for the Wildcats, including two sacks totaling 14 yards. Marshaun Jones, Kareem Williams and Lionel Gates all had quarterback sacks for North Dakota State College of Science, who moved to 5-0 on the year with a 30-6 victory over M State-Fergus Falls.
