MCAC Playoff Football: (rv) Mesabi Range at Northland CTC

Thief River Falls, MN-

Mesabi Range College (7-2 Overall / 4-1 West) heads west to Northland Community & Technical College (6-2 Overall / 5-0 West) for a MCAC semifinal showdown in Thief River Falls today. Kickoff is set for 1:30pm.

The Norsemen - Pioneer matchup is a replay of last season's MCAC State championship game; Mesabi Range led at halftime 28-27, but fell to the Pioneers 68-35 in St. Cloud. Both Mesabi Range and Northland went on to NJCAA bowl bids in 2017, with MRC losing to College of DuPage in the Red Grange Bowl by a 35-0 scoreline and Northland was dropped 55-14 by Ellsworth Community College (3-8 overall) at the opening game of the Graphic Edge Bowl in Iowa.

Sunday's winner will advance to the 2018 MCAC State Championship game, to be held at St. Cloud State University and Husky Stadium.
