The 2019 football season in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference has produced the Week Four MCAC Athletes-of-the-Week.   Adidas, the United States Marine Corps and Nicklasson Athletic Company sponsor the MCAC Athlete-of-the-Week awards, and proudly honor the following student-athletes for their performances this past week on behalf of their teams.

The Performance: 

Ortiz was 19-of-33 for 320 yards against M State-Fergus Falls... the sophomore tossed five touchdown passes in the win... he connected with six different MnWest receivers on the day...

Kenny McKay

The Performance: 

Kenny McKay had nine tackles vs. MnWest... he picked off two Blue Jay passes and accumulated 44 yards in returns... MnKay had a forced fumble and fumble return of 39 yards for the Spartans.

Notable:

Against M State-Fergus Falls, offensive lineman Joshua King recorded 3 pancake blocks in the win over MSCTC. In addition, Joshua was instrumental in providing protection for the the combined 429 yards of total offense and 36 points.

Travis Hissom

Sophomore

The Performance

Hissom connected on a 29-yard field goal and was a perfect 5-for-5 in PAT's on the day for the 'Jacks...He also cracked six punts, with a longest effort of 41-yards...He accumulated 415 yards on DCB kickoffs as well.
