Anoka Ramsey Rams Pull Away from Minn State

Another 9-0 Golden Ram run after leading 25-15 broke the game open, and a three-pointer from Kevin Schramm would extend the lead to 20, 37-17 with four minutes left in the half.

Minnesota State scored six straight to pull with 14, and the Golden Rams would take a 41-28 lead into halftime.

The Spartans pulled back within ten, 43-33, but another three from Schramm followed by a jumper by Zane Lind pushed the lead back to 15.

After a Spartan field goal, consecutive threes from Malik Williams and two free throws by Mamadou Ngom put Anoka-Ramsey up 56-35 with 15 minutes left.

The Spartans would not go away though as they once again trimmed the Golden Ram lead, this time down to seven points with just over seven minutes remaining.

Mahad Haji and Edvonte Copeland would each connect on three-pointers, and Lind would score four straight in helping to build the lead back up to 79-66 and M|State would not seriously threaten again.

Anoka-Ramsey shot 50.8 percent for the game, making 12 of 30 threes, and forced 15 M|State turnovers.

Lind scored 22 points on 9 of 17 shooting to go with six rebounds.

Schramm scored 17 points and pulled in seven rebounds.

Williams tallied 12 points making 3 of 7 from three.

Anoka-Ramsey improves to 20-3 overall, 8-2 in the MCAC Southern Division.
