Ridgewater Men's Basketball Wins

WILLMAR — The Ridgewater men's basketball team cranked it up on both ends of the floor in the second half and defeated Western Wisconsin Tech 87-63 on Wednesday night at Ridgewater College.

The teams were tied at halftime but the Warriors scored 50 second-half points, almost doubling up on the Cavaliers after the break.

Ridgewater shot 40 percent from the field, WWT essentially matched that and the teams headed to their locker rooms tied at 37.

But the Warriors got hot, hitting 54 percent in the second half while pinning down the Cavaliers and limiting them to just nine second-half field goals.

Ridgewater's Akeem Oglesby hit five of the Warriors' 13 3-point shots and finished with 26 points.

Le'Darian McAllister finished with 12 points and seven boards and Jack Turnbull scored 13 points and had six assists.

Taylor DeLaughter didn't score—he took just one shot—but contributed nine rebounds and six assists.

The Warriors play host to Anoka-Ramsey at 3 p.m. Saturday at Ridgewater.
