RCTC and Central Lakes Claim Weekly Honors

The Players-of-the-Week in men's basketball in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference have been selected for the week ending on Sunday, January 21. 

 

             

           

Keonte' Jenkins

Sophomore

Central Lakes College 

 

 

Keonte' Jenkins, a sophomore guard at Central Lakes College, helped lead the Raiders to a 1-1 record this week with a pair of strong efforts.  

In a 111-108 loss to league-leading Vermilion Community College, Jenkins led all scorers in the contest with 40 points and 12 boards. In a 79-71 defeat of Mesabi Range College, the Ft. Wayne product had 19 points, five steals and eight rebounds in a balanced performance for Central Lakes.  

For the week, Jenkins averaged a double/double, scoring 29.5 points per game and hauling in ten rebounds per contest. 

 

      

 

               

Michael Cornelious

Sophomore

Michael Cornelious, a sophomore forward at Rochester CTC,  had 14 points, nine rebounds and four assists in a mid-week MCAC South 86-61 win for the Yellowjackets over Ridgewater College.   He followed up that effort with a 16 point, 10 rebound effort against Riverland Community College, a 83-61 RCTC triumph on Saturday. 

Cornelious and Rochester currently sit 15-2 overall and are a perfect 4-0 atop the MCAC Southern Division.
