The final week of regular season play brought out the best in a handful of basketball student-athletes across the MCAC; the top two performances have been recognized as Player-of-the-Week.

Freshman Forward Hibbing Community College |
Daniel Warren, from Hibbing Community College, put together a pair of monster perfromances to close out the 2017-18 season for the Cardinals. Warren scored 33 points against Division-champion Rainy River Community College and another 22 against Central Lakes College in his final week of play for Hibbing. In addtion to the scoring outburst, he grabbed a total of 29 rebounds over the two contests, including 16 against CLC. With a tough two-point loss to Central Lakes (81-79), Hibbing missed out on forcing a tie-breaker situation in the Northern Division and therefore conclude their season at 5-21 overall and 3-11 in Northern Division play. |

Freshman Guard Western Technical College |
Joshua Brownlee put together a pair of strong and unselfish efforts to end the Western Technical College men's basketball season for 2017-18. Brownlee hit for 24 points and 19 points in a 1-1 final week for the Cavaliers. Against Ridgewater College, he also swiped a game-high three steals, grabbed five rebounds and blocked a shot. In the WTC contest against Riverland, Brownlee picked up another five steals and dished five helpers to go with his 19 point effort. Western Technical College concludes their 2017-18 campaign at 7-20 overall and 4-10 in Southern Division play. |
