The top four men's basketball teams in the Northern and Southern Divisions of the Minnesota College Athletic Conference will open up post-season play tomorrow, Friday March 2 at the Coon Rapids campus of Anoka-Ramsey Community College. 

The first round of action on Friday will see all eight teams compete; the cross-bracket format will allow for the several teams to see some relatively new faces after playing a double-round-robin format for the past several weeks.

ARCC and Rainy River come into the tournament as Division champions with identical 12-2 league marks.  However, as fans, families and followers saw last season, Cinderella stories can and do occur in the Regional format, as fourth-seed RCTC played their way to championship game last winter, running out of gas against the then-nationally ranked, Golden Rams.  Minnesota West is another squad looking to catch some momentum in the post-season, but will have to overcome the top-seeded RRCC team in the first game of the day.  The Blue Jays are making their first tournament appearance under first-year head coach, Aaron Poor-Bear.
