BlueJay Brown Named to National Tournament Team

Rochester, Mn-

Minnesota West CTC concluded the 2018 NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball season over the weekend, competing in three games held at Sheldrake, New York, within the confines of Paul Gerry Fieldhouse.  While MnWest dropped all three contests over March 15-17, one BlueJay turned some heads on the court with his performance and was named to the All-Tournament Team for his efforts.

Guard Alex Brown  - a freshman from Sioux Falls, South Dakota - was named to the eight-member 2018 NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball National Championship All-Tournament team.  In three games, Brown had 64 points, eight rebounds and 5 assists, including a 32-point and seven rebound performance against #1 seed and eventual national champion Brookdale Community College.  Brown was integral part to the Minnesota West run in the MCAC / Region XIII State Tournament, where three wins in three days propelled them to the NJCAA national stage.

Minnesota West concludes it's 2018 season with a 19-14 overall record and a 8-6 mark in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference
