MCAC Men's Basketball Players-of-the-Week

Several impressive performances highlighted an important week of action as men's basketball teams from around the Minnesota College Athletic Conference.  Two student-athletes stood out among their peers for their all-around balanced play and have earned Divisional Player-of-the-Week for their efforts.

MCAC Southern Division 

Player-of-the-Week


Dillon Haider

Fr. / Guard

Melrose, MN

St. Cloud Technical & Community College freshman Dillon Haider (Melrose, MN) has earned MCAC Player-of-the-Week in the Southern Division for his efforts in a pair of Cyclone victories. 

Haider scored a total of 38 points in wins over Rochester Community & Technical College and Minnesota West CTC. He was 8-of-13 from behind the three-point line for the week and hit 10-of-13 free throws for SCTCC, currently 'Receiving Votes' in the NJCAA National Division III poll.

St. Cloud Technical & Community College will face Ridgewater and M State-Fergus Falls in MCAC Southern Division action this week. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

MCAC Northern Division 

Player-of-the-Week 

                   

 

Tyree'on Johnson

Coon Rapids, MN

 

Tyree'on Johnson, a freshman forward at Central Lakes College,  had a big role in helping the Raiders to a 3-0 week in MCAC Northern Division action. 

The Coon Rapids product accumulated 58 total points and an impressive 30 rebounds over the course of the three CLC contests.  Johnson shot 78% from the floor on 26-of-33 shooting. 

With the wins over Mesabi Range College, Hibbing Community College & Vermilion, Central Lakes sits at 12-1 in the Northern Division and 19-5 overall.  The Raiders take part in a key Divisional contest Wednesday against Itasca Community College.
