MCAC Men's Basketball: Athletes-of-the-Week

Most teams are in full swing of their non-conference season in men's basketball around the Minnesota College Athletic Conference; read on for the Athletes-of-the-Week in week three of the 2019-20 campaign. 

Adidas, the United States Marine Corps and Nicklasson Athletic Company sponsor the MCAC Athlete-of-the-Week awards, and proudly honor the following student-athletes for their performances this past week on behalf of their teams.

Northern Division

Athlete-of-the-Week 

      Brian (AJ) Pinkney

   Fr. / Guard

 Waycross, GA

The Performance: Itasca started 2019-20 by going 3-0, thanks in large part to freshman Brian (AJ) Pinkney. 

In 107 minutes of action,  Pinkney sank 28-of-62 field goal attempts, including nine three-pointers.  He was 13-of-17 from the charity stripe, while also pulling in 25 rebounds over the course of the week.

Paul Coleman

Soph. / Guard

Sartell, MN 

The Performance: SCTCC moved to 5-0 on the year and #7 in the natinoal poll behind Paul Coleman's excellent week. 

In 64 minutes of work, Coleman tallied 53 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists for the Cyclones. From the field, the Sartell sophomore was 24-of-39; he also dished out 11 assists and had a pair of steals.
