Women's basketball teams in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference moved into the heart of their MCAC Divisional schedules last week, and a pair of student-athletes have been tabbed as Athlete-of-the-Week for their efforts in the MCAC race.
Adidas, the United States Marine Corps and Nicklasson Athletic Company sponsor the MCAC Athlete-of-the-Week awards, and proudly honor the following student-athletes for their performances this past week on behalf of their teams.

Kamryn D'Heilly FY. / Forward Annandale, MN

The Performance: Cyclone Kamryn D'Heilly continued her dominating ways for St. Cloud Technical & Community College as they moved to the top of the MCAC Southern Division standings with a 2-0 start to league play. D'Heilly had 15 rebounds and 13 points, along with five steals, in a key 61-58 win over Ridgewater College. She followed that up with a 32 point outburst in a win over Minnesota West. The Annandale, Minnesota product added a pair of assists and a blocked shot in the win over the Lady Jays. SCTCC travels to nationally-ranked Western Technical College on Wednesday in La Crosse, Wisconsin. |

Carly Mekash Soph. / Guard Greenbush, MN

The Performance: Sophomore guard Carly Mekash and the Northland Community & Technical College women's basketball team picked up three Divisional wins this past week. The sophomore from Greenbush, Minnesota scored 67 points across nearly 80 minutes of action for the Pioneers. Mekash went 30-for-37 from the floor for the week and did not miss from three-point range. She also dished out five assists and swiped six steals. Mekash will lead Northland into another busy week, as the nationally-ranked Pioneers take on Hibbing Community College and Lake Superior College in MCAC Northern Division action. |
