M-State Fergus Falls golf set for national tournament

Rochester, Mn-

The Minnesota State-Fergus Falls golf team heads to Chautauqua, New York next week to compete in the 2017 NJCAA Division III golf national tournament.  Chautauqua Country Club is home to the competition and Jamestown Community College serves as the host school for nationals, which will run June 5-9.

The Spartans earned their way to the top NJCAA golf event in the fall, by capturing the 2016 Region XIII golf title.

Individually for M-State, Mason Landborg led the way at the Region XIII competition by carding the top MCAC individual performance - the Spartan squad included Chris Swensen, Nick Kress, Will Tickle and Kyle Boe. Next week, each team member will look to deliver their best rounds as they take on the strongest competition that NJCAA golf has to offer.
