Golden Ram takes home soccer honors

Rochester, Mn-

The Anoka-Ramsey Community College men's soccer team went 2-1 over a week's worth of action recently, tallying victories over Riverland Community College and the College of St. Scholastica JV team and dropping a hard-fought 3-2 contest at MCAC-leading Lake Superior College.  One Golden Ram, Louie Elliot, found the back of the net in all three contests and set up teammates for their own scoring chances as well in the string of matches; Elliot has earned the MCAC Soccer Player-of-the-Week honors for his efforts.

The sophomore from Bristol, England had one goal each in ARCC's 3-1 win over Riverland and it's 3-2 setback to Lake Superior. He tallied a brace against CSS and added an assist in a 4-1 Anoka victory.  The coming week has Anoka-Ramsey playing a home-and-home series with the JV team of Gustavus Adolfus College.  ARCC will travel to St. Peter on Thursday, September 21st and will host the return leg on Wednesday, September 27th.
