It was a week of strong performances from several Minnesota College Athletic Conference Softball squads as March came to a close, with many teams taking part in the MCAC Crossover event held at the RCTC dome in Rochester, Minnesota on March 25th and 26th.
Minnesota State-Fergus Falls softball season could not have started any better, with a 4-0 showing at the dome, and a dominant pitching performance from one Spartan in particular, Taryn Justeson. For her effort, Justeson has been named the MCAC Softball Athlete of the Week.
Justeson accounted for three of the four Minnesota State wins, pitching 16 innings, tallying 28 strikeouts, while only walking four batters. All of Justeson's wins were complete game performances.
