Itasca Community College infielder Sydney Denny has been named the Minnesota College Athletic Conference Northern Division Player of the Week.  The first baseman accounted for scoring in a multitude of ways while also performing well defensively for the Vikings during April 3-9.

Denny hit not one, but two, home runs over four contests on the week.  The freshman from Grand Rapids scored four runs herself for Itasca and earned two walks along the way.  In total for the week, Denny had 11 RBI's, helped in large part by the grand slam she socked against Mesabi Range College, which opened the flood gates to an 18-1 runaway victory for ICC.
