MCAC Softball Teams Dominate National Rankings

Rochester, Mn-

Minnesota College Athletic Conference fastpitch softball teams are making their presence known on the national stage.  Six MCAC programs were recognized in the most recent NJCAA Division III national poll with four schools reaching top-10 status and two others cracking the 'Receiving Votes' category.

Leading the charge for the MCAC is St. Cloud Technical and Community College, who are sitting in the #5 spot nationally; the Golden Rams of Anoka Ramsey are just one slot back at #6.  The Northern Division is carrying their weight as well, with #8 Mesabi Range College and #9 Itasca Community College helping round out the top ten.

In the 'Receiving Votes' category, Minnesota State-Fergus Falls and Rainy River Community College both garnered recognition as their seasons trend upwards.  Overall, the Minnesota College Athletic Conference accounts for just under half of the total teams recognized in the April 18th poll.
