A showdown between #9 Itasca Community College and #8 Mesabi Range College produced this week's MCAC Northern Division Pitcher-of-the-Week, while power hitting and long-ball prowess lead to the Player-of-the-Week honors.

Rainy River Community College sophomore Kamia Arbizo (Thatcher, Arizona) had a stellar week at the plate for the Voyageurs.  Arbizo went 8-for-13  overall, with two doubles, a triple and a remarkable three run home runs.  All told,  the infielder/pitcher had 8 RBI's in helping lead her squad to two wins over Hibbing and a 1-1 split with Central Lakes College.

Itasca CC pitcher Mandi McNeil beat the 8th ranked team in the country- twice.  Overall, the sophomore from Hill City was a perfect 4-0 for the week and was responsible for back-to-back, complete game triumphs over #8 MSC.  With 15 wins on the year so far, McNeil is tied for 2nd in the country in NJCAA Division III victories.
