MCAC Softball Teams Continue To Rise in Rankings

Rochester, Mn-

Four softball teams from the Minnesota College Athletic Conference continue to garner national recognition in the NJCAA Division III National Top Ten poll.

Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Itasca Community College, Central Lakes College and St. Cloud Technical and Community College all occupy a place in the top ten for the poll released April 10.

The ARCC Golden Rams had the most movement up the ladder, moving to #4 in the rankings.  Anoka-Ramsey is currently 15-8 overall and was #7 last week.  Itasca Community College continues to hold the #5 spot in the poll, as they did a week ago.  The Vikings currently are 12-7 on the season.

The second half of the Top Ten list has Central Lakes College at #7; the Raiders are 12-5 so far this spring.  Rounding out the poll for the MCAC is St. Cloud Technical and Community College, as the Cyclones are #8 in the nation with a 16-9 mark.   For the complete poll, please visit: http://njcaa.org/sports/sball/2017-18/div3/rankings/DIII_Softball_Poll_April_10

As much of Minnesota sits in a late winter deep freeze, several teams are looking at different options and altered schedules as synthetic turf fields and domes fill up with area college and high school games.   Be sure to check the MCAC Sports website at: www.mcacsports.org for the most current list of cancellations, postponements and schedule changes in softball this spring.
