Raider Registers First National Honor in Softball

Rochester, MN-

Kallie Plantenberg, a softball student-athlete at Central Lakes College, wasted no time getting her 2019 season off to a good start and the NJCAA has rewarded her for her efforts.

Plantenberg was named the NJCAA Division III National Pitcher-of-the-Week for the week ending Sunday, March 10.  The sophomore hurler from Eden Valley, Minnesota delivered two Raider wins for Central Lakes as they opened up their 2019 MCAC softball season.   She went the distance in both outings, pitching 14.0 innings total in victories over Anoka-Ramsey and Ridgewater College.
