MCAC Softball All-State Honors Announced

Rochester, MN

With the conclusion of the Region XIII A & B championship games on Friday, May 17, the Minnesota College Athletic Conference Softball All-State Team has been named, which recognizes the top MCAC softball athletes in Region XIII.

The 2019 MCAC Softball All-State Team is comprised of the nine top vote-receiving nominees from each Division as selected by Conference coaches. The 18-player team (19 selections in 2019 due to a tie)  is as follows: 

Bailey Zenk

Anoka-Ramsey Community College

The sophomore from Blaine, Minnesota was a dual threat to ARCC opponents.  Zenk led the MCAC in batting average at .579 while also racking up 11 wins as a Golden Ram pitcher. Zenk had a 3.85 ERA in 100 innings pitched and hit 19 home runs, along with 84 RBI's, both tops in the MCAC in those categories.

Janet Humbert

Rainy River Community College

The Rainy River freshman from International Falls was a .500 hitter in 120 plate appearances this season. She cracked four triples and four home runs for the Voyageurs in 2019. 

McKenzie Ebert

St. Cloud Technical & Community College

Ebert drove in 47 runs on 53 hits in 2019.  Ebert had seven home runs in 39 games and scored 39 times for the Cyclones, who claimed the 2019 Southern Division championship. 

Talyn McClaflin

Itasca Community College

The sophomore from Big Lake, Minnesota hit .579 in the regular season with 55 RBI's and ten home runs. McClaflin tied with Anoka-Ramsey's Bailey Zenk for the MCAC batting average title in 2019.

Regan Jastram

St. Cloud Technical & Community College

Jastrom had eight wins from the circle in 2019, appearing in 17 Cyclone contests. She racked up 24 strikeouts in 83 innings pitched. At the plate, she had 57 hits, including 17 doubles and four home runs

Lindsay Hendrickson

Central Lakes College

The CLC sophomore produced an amazing 70 RBI over the course of the 2019 spring season for the Raiders.  She hit 11 home runs, stole a pair of bases and scored 39 runs herself. 

Anna Wagner

Anoka-Ramsey Community College

The ARCC freshman appeared in 38 games for the Golden Rams this past season. Wagner contributed eight home runs, 40 RBI's and scored 40 runs herself during the season. She also swiped ten bases in 2019 while hitting for a .518 season average

Lisa Kossan

Central Lakes College

The Central Lakes slugger hit for a .570 average in 2019, good for 2nd-best in the MCAC. She also collected four triples and had 41 RBI on the season for CLC.

Sam Patton 

St. Cloud Technical & Community College

The freshman hurler hit the 20-win plateau this season for SCTCC.  Patton pitched 150 innings and struck out 155 batters; she notched a season ERA of 4.01 for the Cyclones. 

Mackie Dostal

Itasca Community College

The Viking utility player drove in 51 RBI's while hitting for a .446 average; her 51 runs batted in were 4th-best in the Conference. She cracked seven home runs, hit 13 doubles and stole two bases. 

 

Abby Bauer

Rochester Community & Technical College

The RCTC sophomore put together a solid season for the Yellowjackets. Bauer hit for a .483 average, drove in 26 runs in 17 games and stole six bases. She also scored 22 times herself

Haley Price

Northland Community & Technical College 

The NCTC sophomore hit eight home runs and collected a .414 season average for the Pioneers. She stole nine bases and drove in 39 runs, while also scoring 32 times herself. 

Hannah Ekse

M State-Fergus Falls

The M State freshman had a .728 slugging percentage for the Spartans. Of her 36 hits in 2019, she had 12 doubles, a triple and three home runs. She had 29 RBI's on the year for M State.

Kalee Wall 

Northland Community & Technical College 

Wall was the ace of the NCTC pitching staff in 2019, throwing 195 innings for the Pioneers. She notched a 3.81 ERA and rang up 129 strikeouts, winning 17 games along the way.  Her 129 K's were second-best in the MCAC this year.

Rylie Wilner

Ridgewater College

The Ridgewater freshman hit for a .440 average and scored 39 Warrior runs this past spring. Wilner had 29 stolen bases to lead the Minnesota College Athletic Conferencein that category.

Jessie Nichols 

Northland Community & Technical College

The Pioneer produced a solid freshman season for Northland in 2019, hitting at a .391 clip, knocking six home runs and driving in 36 RBI. Nichols also stole five bases and registered a .600 slugging percentage

Megan Iverson

 Anoka-Ramsey Community College

The ARCC freshman had 14 doubles and a triple among her 46 hits for ARCC this season. Iverson stole ten bases and hit for a .479 season batting average. 

Justina Hawley 

Rainy River Community College 

The RRCC pitcher rang up 62 strike-outs in 87 innings pitched. Hawley earned seven Voyaguers wins in 23 appearances for RRCC in 2019 as key part of the Rainy River pitching staff. 

Brianna Meyer

Central Lakes College

The Raider freshman catcher led the Division in baserunners caught stealing, nabbing nine in 2019. She also hit an impressive .514, with 38 RBI and 42 runs scored.
