The second weekend of inter-divisional games between the Northern and Southern Division has yielded the Player-of-the-Week honorees for the week of play ending on December 10.
MCAC Player-of-the-Week, Northern Division:
Point Guard Sophomore Hibbing CC

Hibbing Community College point guard Alison Huber put together a strong weekend for the Cardinals and has earned the MCAC Northern Division Player-of-the-Week honor for her efforts. Huber had a triple double in Hibbings' Friday 93-29 win over Riverland Community College with 14 points, 15 assists and 11 rebounds. Against Anoka-Ramsey, she added 11 points, eight assists six steals and five rebounds to her weekend totals. By going 2-0 over the weekend, Hibbing raised it's record to 7-2 overall in 2017. Huber and Hibbing will take to the court next when they play Itasca Community College on December 13 at 5:30pm. |

Riverland Community College took on a trio of opponents over the past week with each contest a road game for the Blue Devils. Sophia Waldner led the way with some great outings for Riverland and has received the MCAC Southern Division Player-of-the-Week for her efforts. In a 63-53 win over the JV team of Crown College, Waldner poured in 29 points, grabbed ten boards and had four assists. On the road against Hibbing Community College, Waldner had 11 points and six rebounds. To wrap up the week, she chipped in another 22 points, six rebounds and five assists against Rainy River Community College. Riverland is off until January 4, when they take on JV team of Luther College. |
