MCAC Women's Basketball All-State Teams

Later this week, two women's basketball teams from the Minnesota College Athletic Conference will participate in the 2018 NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball National Championships hosted by Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois.  The two Region XIII A & B Tournament winners, Rochester CTC and Northland CTC head into the competition as the #6 and#5 seeds, respectively.  For the Yellowjackets, this year's trip represents their first appearance in the National Championships since 2008-09 when RCTC went 34-0 and won the tournament; for the Pioneers and head coach Shannon Nelson, it is their eighth trip in the past nine seasons.  Northland last won the National Championship in 2014.  The NJCAA Division III Tournament will feature eight qualifiers from around the county as they tip-off in pursuit of the National Championship hardware.   CLICK HERE for the 2018 NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament website, with game schedules, logistics and more.

In the Minnesota College Athletic Conference, the 'MCAC All-State Teams' in women's basketball has been named for the 2018 season.  The 'All-State' first and second teams features the top 20 women's basketball student-athletes, as voted upon by the Northern and Southern Division head coaches.  Final stats leaders from the 2018 MCAC Women's Basketball season are available at:http://www.mcacsports.org/sports/wbkb/2017-18/leaders
