Rochester, Northland both to Tip Off Today at National Tournament

Teams from the Minnesota College Athletic Conference comprise one quarter of the participants at the 2018 NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championships which tip off today at Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois. 

Fifth-seeded Northland Community & Technical College will face #4 Montgomery in a 3pm CST affair in the quarterfinal round on Thursday, March, 15.  Northland went 22-5 overall in 2017-18, and was 10-2 in MCAC Northern Division contests.  Montgomery is 20-6 for the season, 8-2 in league action.  

On the other side of the bracket, #6 Rochester Community & Technical College will take on #3 UConn-Avery Point at 8pm this evening.  RCTC is 23-6 on the year, 12-2 in MCAC play, while UConn-Avery Point is 23-6 overall, 11-2 in Conference games.
