Women's Basketball Region Tournaments Feature Top MCAC Teams

Rochester, MN-

Eight women's basketball teams from the Minnesota College Athletic Conference will participate in a pair of Region XIII tournaments to vie for a trip to the 2018-19 NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championships.

In La Crosse, Wisconsin, top seed Western Technical College will be joined by No. 2 Anoka-Ramsey Community College, No. 3 Minnesota West CTC andNo. 4 Rochester CTC in the Region XIIIA Tournament. Viterbo University will serve as host for the competition; click here for information - including directions and campus map - for Viterbo. 

Game times are 1pm and 3pm on Saturday, March 1, with winners advancing to the championship game at 1pm on Sunday, March 2.  Click here for the game program for Region XIIIA contests.

1pm: No. 1 Western Technical College vs. No. 4 Rochester CTC

3pm: No. 2 Anoka-Ramsey vs. No. 3 Minnesota West CTC

1pm: Semi-Final Winners

 

In Hibbing, Minnesota, home-town team Hibbing Community College is the top seed and host for the Region XIIIB women's basketball tournament. The Cardinals will have to fend off No. 2 Northland Community & Technical College, No. 3 Central Lakes College and No. 4 Rainy River Community College.
