Hibbing Community College and Western Technical College were allocated the No. 4 and No. 5 seeds by the NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball committee and will face off in the opening round of the  2018-19 NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball National Championship.  

HCC and WTC have met once already this season; Hibbing dealt Western Tech a 77-56 setback in Hibbing on December 8 in the MCAC Crossover contests.  Southern Division Coach-of-the-Year Chad Dull's squad has not lost since a mid-December 44-33 defeat by NJCAA Division II program Bay (MI) College.   Hibbing, lead by Northern Division COY Kate Brau, is riding a 14-game winning streak as they head to Bethlehem, PA for the season-ending tournament. 

Both the Cardinals and the Cavaliers reached the 20-win mark during the regular season; Hibbing's 27 wins are the most of any squad in the tournament.  Hostos (NY) took the No. 1 seed at 25-5 overall and will open with Anne Arundel (MD) who finished 9-13 in 2018-19.  For the full 2018-19 NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball National Championship bracket and more information on the tournament, go to: http://njcaa.org/sports/wbkb/2018-19/div3/national_championship/index
