MCAC Women's Basketball: Athletes-of-the-Week

The second week of competition in women's basketball around the Minnesota College Athletic Conference has yielded the Athletes-of-the-Week. 

Adidas, the United States Marine Corps and Nicklasson Athletic Company sponsor the MCAC Athlete-of-the-Week awards, and proudly honor the following student-athletes for their performances this past week on behalf of their teams.

Women's Basketball 

Athlete-of-the-Week 

Alexis Desjarlait    

Soph. / Guard

Red Lake, MN 

The Performance: 

Alexis Desjarlait scored 21 points in the Hibbing 68-59 win over Riverland on November 15.  Desjarlait hit 12-of-14 free-throws and hauled in eight rebounds for the Cardinals who move to 1-0 on the season.

Raiyne Adams 

Soph. / Guard 

St. Paul, MN 

                                                                 

          

The Performance: 

In 42 minutes of work in two games last week, Raiyne Adams tallied 35 points and hauled in twelve rebounds.  She also had seven steals and dished out five assists to her Golden Ram teammates.  Anoka-Ramsey defeated Central Lakes 81-50 and lost to NJCAA Division II Highland Community College, 93-79.
