MCAC Women's Basketball: Athletes-of-the-Week

The recent week of competition in women's basketball around the Minnesota College Athletic Conference has yielded the Athletes-of-the-Week. 

Adidas, the United States Marine Corps and Nicklasson Athletic Company sponsor the MCAC Athlete-of-the-Week awards, and proudly honor the following student-athletes for their performances this past week on behalf of their teams.

Northern Division Women's Basketball  Athlete-of-the-Week	Paige Wallevand Soph. / Forward Henning, MN
	The Performance: Paige Wallevand scored 33 points and grabbed an impressive 24 rebounds in a 1-1 week for Central Lakes.  The sophomore from Henning hit 15-of-35 field goals and dished out four assists to Raiders teammates along the way.

 

Southern Division  Women's Basketball  Athlete-of-the-Week	Megan Shanahan Fr. / Fwd St. Charles, MN
	The Performance:  Megan Shanahan averaged a double-double in points and rebounds in a pair of Riverland games this past week. Shanahan grabbed 13 boards and chipped in 11 ponts in a loss to Lake Superior College and follow that up with a 12 rebound, ten point performance the next day against Central Lakes College.
