Yellowjacket Picks Up POW Honor

Rochester, MN- 

Scoring a pair of goals in a key MCAC contest, Rochester Community & Technical College women's soccer player Valya Urback has been named  Player-of-the-Week in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference. 

RCTC battled to a 2-2 overtime tie with Lake Superior College on Saturday, September 8 to pick up a valuable point in the MCAC standings.  Urback tallied both her goals in the first half for Rochester, who was reduced to 10 players in the second stanza and overtime, due to a red card. 

Rochester, under first-year head coach Bryan Weiss, will take on MCAC foe Anoka-Ramsey Community College on Wednesday, September 12.  Kickoff is scheduled for 4pm.
