MCAC Women's Soccer All-Conference Teams Announced

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference has named the men's and women's soccer All-Conference teams for the 2018 season. 

The MCAC Women's Soccer All-Conference team, as selected by the Conference coaches, is as follows:

Kati Beckman

So. / Forward

Anoka Ramsey Community College 

 

The sophomore Golden Ram #10 was tops on her team and the Conference with 12 goals while adding six assists for a total of 30 points in the 2018 campaign.  Beckman led ARCC to a MCAC regular season championship and a Region XIII crown. 

Lauren Ives

Anoka Ramsey Community College

 

 

Ives, a freshman striker for Anoka-Ramsey, had 26 points on the season (11 goals / 4 assists).  The Golden Rams swept the MCAC regular season and NJCAA Regional tournament hardware thanks in large part to her offensive contributions.

 

Alexa Gothard

So. / Goalkeeper

Lake Superior College

           

Gothard, a sophomore goalkeeper at Lake Superior College started 13 of 14 games for the IceHawks.  She ranked in the top 3 in minutes played, she recorded 107 saves over that time period.

Micayla Biffert

Fr. / Midfield

Rochester Community & Technical College 

Biffert, a first-year midfielder at Rochester Community & Technical College, had three goals on the season to pace the Yellowjackets.  

Marissa Volstad

So. / Defense

Anoka Ramsey Community College

 

Volstad, a sophomore center-back anchored the defense on a team that allowed only two goals Conference play this season, as ARCC took home MCAC regular season and Region XIII honors.

Lauren Baurr

Anoka Ramsey Community College

 

Baurr tallied nine goals and had two assists, for a 20-point freshman season for the Golden Rams, who were both Conference and Region champions.

Kallie Keller

Rochester Community & Technical College

 

Keller, a sophomore defender also got involved in the Yellowjacket attack, chipping in two goals and two assists, while emerging as one of the top RCTC defenders during the 2018 season. 

Esther Borth

Fr. / Forward 

Lake Superior College

Borth, a key part of the IceHawk attack, started all 14 games and finished the season among the top 3 in minutes played. In 2018, where she recorded three goals for Lake Superior.

 

Liberty Morrice-Bartlett

Fr. / Midfield

Anoka-Ramsey Community College

 

Liberty Morrice-Bartlett, a freshman midfielder for Anoka-Ramsey, notched an impressive nine assists, along with five goals during the ARCC fall season.  She concluded 2018 with 19 total points for the Golden Rams. 

Hannah Zavadil

Anoka-Ramsey Community College

Hannah Zavadil was a key component of the Anoka-Ramsey defense that only conceded two goals in MCAC play in 2018. The sophomore lined up at centerback for the ARCC squad.

Avi McGregor

Anoka-Ramsey Community College

Defensive central midfielder Avi McGregor, a sophomore at ARCC also contributed a goals and three assists to the Golden Ram MCAC regular season and NJCAA Region XIII championships. 

Greta Cruz

Rochester Community & Technical College

 

Greta Cruz, a freshman at Rochester Community and Technical College, added two goals and two assists to the Yellowjacket 2018 season.

Sydney Schuman

Lake Superior College

IceHawk Sydney Schuman was a key component in attack and defense for Lake Superior College. In 2018, she recorded a goal and assist from her midfield role. 

Charity Howell

Lake Superior College

Charity Howell recovered from a ACL in 2017 to have a solid 2018 campaign for Lake Superior College. Howell served as the LSC team captain, playing in 13 of 14 games for the IceHawks.

Grace Hanson

Anoka-Ramsey Community College

Grace Hanson lined up at left back for Anoka-Ramsey Community College; as a freshman, she added  three goals and three assists to the Golden Ram attack while also being a part of the defensive line which held MCAC opponents to two goals in league play.

Sydney Vrieze was a key defender for RCTC who also played goalkeeper for the Yellowjackets. 

Makenzie Swanson-Larson

Rochester Community & Technical College

 

Makenzie Swanson-Larson added a pair of assists to the  Rochester Community and Technical College offense in 2018.

 

Rylee Shoquist-Nolan

Anoka-Ramsey Community College

As a goalkeeper, Rylee Shoquist-Nolan only allowed one goal in conference play this year for Anoka-Ramsey Community College.

Molly Johnson

Lake Superior College

Centerback Molly Johnson was a leader of the Lake Superior College defense, starting 13 of 14 games for the IceHawks.

Callie Swanson

Fr. / Midfield

Lake Superior College

Callie Swanson started all 14 games that  Lake Superior College played in 2018, recording a goal and an assist over that time.

 

Brady Eichorn-Hicks

Eichorn-Hicks has served as the head women's soccer coach since the program's inception in 2008.  In 2018, ARCC earned both the MCAC Conference championship and the Region XIII hardware, while conceding only two goals in Conference play.
